Top Dog is an annual competition between the member dog clubs of the Southern California Dog Obedience Council. For 2003, the 46th annual competition was held on June 28th at Eagle Glen Community Park in Corona, Ca. Despite high temperatures and little shade, this years event was attended by 19 dog clubs and 145 dogs.
The LRCSC team finished a very respectable 6th (same placing as last year). We were one of the few Breed Clubs competing against all breed Obedience clubs. Notable scores were earned by Trudy and Phoebe (194), Diane and Merial (193), and Wendy and Kit (193). The potluck lunch was outstanding as always. We also had ice cream cake in celebration of Wendy’s birthday.
The LRCSC was represented by a full team consisting of the following dog and handlers:
